Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages are located in Cilybebyll in the Swansea Valley on a former dairy farm. From 1993, when the owners retired from farming, the farm buildings were converted into four cottages. The business leads the UK market in carbon neutral holidays; guests are offered the opportunity to plant a Welsh oak tree on arrival.

Environmental Achievements

• Implemented a major, long-term biodiversity programme to reverse the effects of intensive dairy farming
• Completed first phase of a project to re-install an historic watermill to provide entire energy requirement of cottages
• Comprehensive educational programme for guests on the biodiversity of the site
