Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council provides a range of services to all the inhabitants of the Authority. The Education and Lifelong Learning department is utilising renewable energy and a new energy unit has been developed within the department.

Environmental Achievements

• Installed 1.15MWh of renewable energy technologies throughout the Authority, equating to 28% of heating costs
• 188 tonnes of CO2 is being saved per year
• All schools where the technologies have been installed also have an Ecolab to enable students to monitor energy generation
