The Pontypridd and Rhondda NHS Trust is a multi disciplinary Trust in South Wales, with acute, community and mental health facilitates making up a property portfolio of twenty buildings and 90,000m2. The flagship of the Trust is the nucleus designed 600 bed District General the Royal Glamorgan Hospital which was commissioned in December 1999 and provides health care to the population of Rhonda Cynon Taff.

Environmental Achievements

• Achieved energy performance indicator of 42Gj/100m3 for the trust giving a band A energy rating.
• Estate-wide biodiversity programme to enhance indigenous wildlife populations.
