The Pontypridd and Rhondda NHS Trust is a multi disciplinary Trust in South Wales, with acute, community and mental health facilitates making up a property portfolio of twenty buildings and 90,000m2. The flagship of the Trust is the nucleus designed 600 bed District General the Royal Glamorgan Hospital which was commissioned in December 1999 and provides health care to the population of Rhonda Cynon Taff.

Environmental Achievements

• Comprehensive monitoring and targeting system controlling 12,000 data points
• 405 tonnes of CO2 saved in 12 weeks in 2006 against a 6% growth in business
• Combined Heat and Power systems installed, generating 1MWh
