The Craflwyn Centre is a volunteering centre of excellence and a work-base for the National Trust in West Snowdonia & Llyn. As well as being a base for a variety of environmental activity throughout the Beddgelert area, the centre is also becoming a venue for training courses, self catering accommodation, family reunions and weddings. The centre employs 15 staff.Environmental Achievements
- The Craflwyn Eco Trail around the estate identifies areas where The National Trust has enhanced biodiversity.
- Visitor information packs provide advice on flora, fauna and wildlife together with expected locations.
- Careful wood harvesting provides fuel for a biomass boiler; composting provides fertiliser for some home produce.
