Bayliss Recovery Ltd is a vehicle and metal recycling company operating in South Wales. It was founded over 15 years ago by Howard Bayliss with one truck.  The company now employs 44 people, and has a fleet of 17 vehicles with an annual turnover of £2.5 million.

Environmental Achievements

• Uses a low energy process to engineer waste tyres, a problem material, into a material used for land development - flood defences, riverbank erosion, soft road foundations, slope stabilisation and more
• Uses between 94% and 98% less energy than alternative recovery/disposal methods
• Disposal of tyres originally cost the company £52k per year as part of the vehicle recovery process, but now generates a considerable income from the baling process
