EnviroForest was established early in 2006 to set up portable disease treatment units (patent pending) to deal with sudden oak death and diseased crops “in location”.  The units are designed to treat diseased plant material and produce a compostable medium to return to original ground. Currently, all material goes to landfill or incineration.

Achievements

• Diverted diseased material away from landfill
• Developed a collection method for plastic
• Reduced carbon emissions on vehicles

Future Plans

• Divert more tonnage of bio material from landfill
• Waste to energy machinery (composting)
• Work towards Green Dragon Environmental Standard ® Level
