Axonics provides environmentally ‘clean’ technologies for water & wastewater treatment, industrial effluent processing and pollution abatement. Instead of adding chemicals or micro-organisms to ‘treat’ dirty water, electricity is passed through the liquid. With the aid of DTI SMART Awards in 1994 and 2000, the process was fully commercialised in 2004. Sales since then have risen from £200k to £1m this year, of which 80% is EU export.

Located in Swansea, the company employs 5 full-time technical staff, out-sources electrical panel builds, metal fabrication etc. to a range of local companies, while specialising in design and remote sensing, operation and process control of installed plants.
