3M Gorseinon is involved in the manufacture of industrial tapes, spray adhesives, automotive door foams, components for nappies, which include reclosable fasters, multi-sided tapes, laminate (multi-layer) constructions and elastics. 3M has been on the Gorseinon site since 1952 and currently employ 450 personnel. The managers are committed to sustainability and aim to incorporate the principles of sustainability into all areas of the business. The site operates environmental management system ISO 14001 and has a long-standing energy team which uses the six sigma approach to energy project management.
